PSC Meeting & Program Schedule

The Potomac Speleological Club meets on the fourth Monday of each month (except December). Join us at one of our upcoming PSC meetings:

  • Monday, May 26 - Since the Lubber Run Rec Center is closed, the regularly scheduled PSC meeting on May 26th will instead be a vertical practice at Tom Jewell's House in Silver Spring, MD. Hamburgers and fixin's will be provided, as will some beverages. Please bring a side-dish and RSVP if you want a hamburger. We will go from 5:00 pm till it's too dark to continue. See the Caving Calendar (link at upper right) for email address & phone number.
  • Monday, June 23 - Program TBD.
  • Monday, July 28 - TBD.

We have a computer and projector available at most meetings so feel free to bring your photographs (caving and general interest) on CDROM or USB flash drive/memory stick.

Welcome Visitors!

Since you have found your way here you probably have some interest in caves or caving - we hope that you will find something of interest here on our site. While some portions of this site are restricted to members only, we have tried to make as much information as possible available to our guests.

The "Trip Reports and Discussions" section, as the name implies, is a place where you can read something about our activities and ask any questions you might have. The "Photo Galleries" includes cave and caving related photographs contributed by our members and the "Web Links" section provides links to other organizations' web sites and other sources of information.

If you are a member of our caving community, information on our membership requirements is available in the FAQ.

The Potomac Speleological Club, incorporated in the State of West Virginia as the Potomac Speleological Society, is dedicated to caving, conservation and the science of speleology. The PSC invites cavers (and potential cavers) from all parts to participate in the club's many ongoing caving projects and social events. We especially welcome those persons interested in wild caving for the first time. Sport caving is dangerous and should not be entered into without proper equipment and guidance. Ignorance of the cave environment and cave safety is the primary cause of most caving accidents.
