PSC Meeting & Program Schedule
The Potomac Speleological Club meets on the fourth Monday of each month (except December). The PSC has a new home for it's meetings. We are back to the 4th Monday of the month, starting September 28th 2009. We are meeting at the Walter Reed Community Center 2909 16th Street S, Arlington, VA 22204. It's just off Glebe Rd, between 50 and 395. Meetings are still 8:00 to 9:30.
- Monday, November 26, 2012 - PSC General Meeting at the Walter Reed
Community Center. Program: The program will feature 3-D cave photos & video. Even if you saw the 3D program at DC Grotto, check this one out--it will feature several different caving areas.
- Saturday, December 15, 2012 - PSC Christmas Party, 6:00 PM at Scott Smith's, Herndon, VA.
We have a computer and projector available at most meetings so feel free to bring your photographs (caving and general interest) on CDROM or USB flash drive/memory stick.

Check the DC-Area Caving Calendar for other scheduled caving activities, including DC Grotto and Baltimore Grotto meetings, special caving events and ongoing cave survey projects.
White Nose Syndrome updates. Bats throughout the Northeastern United States are being severely affected by White Nose Syndrome (WNS), resulting in major declines of bat populations in the affected areas. This has resulted in the closing of many caving areas in an attempt to slow the spread of WNS. For more information on WNS please visit the NSS White Nose Syndrome page for the current information.
Welcome Visitors!
Since you have found your way here you probably have some interest in caves or caving - we hope that you will find something of interest here on our site. While some portions of this site are restricted to members only, we have tried to make as much information as possible available to our guests.
The "Trip Reports and Discussions" section, as the name implies, is a place where you can read something about our activities and ask any questions you might have. The "Photo Galleries" includes cave and caving related photographs contributed by our members and the "Web Links" section provides links to other organizations' web sites and other sources of information.
If you are a member of our caving community, information on our membership requirements is available in the FAQ.

The Potomac Speleological Club, incorporated in the State of West Virginia as the Potomac Speleological Society, is dedicated to caving, conservation and the science of speleology. The PSC invites cavers (and potential cavers) from all parts to participate in the club's many ongoing caving projects and social events. We especially welcome those persons interested in wild caving for the first time. Sport caving is dangerous and should not be entered into without proper equipment and guidance. Ignorance of the cave environment and cave safety is the primary cause of most caving accidents.
