The trip on 2/14/04 was very similar to the previous month's trip with Barry Horner and Yvonne Droms doing all the heavy lifting and slackers Bob Alderson and me surveying. We set 16 GC stations in the time it took Barry to run out of electrons. The surveying reminded me of the squirrelly stuff in FLAD Cave. Average shot was 5'...less really if you discount the long shot of the day...a whopping 11.something feet! Lest you think this is brutal caving...it is not. The passage zig zags a lot. Barry broke through into virgin dig....that is to say...the dig beyond what had stopped me nearly 20 years ago. Barry and Yvonne were rather disappointed in what they saw ahead, however both Alderson and I checked an upper level which looks real easy to work...and I could see 20' ahead down to a wider part of the canyon. Just a few ledges in the way. I reeeeally liked what I saw. Barry had checked out the stream level...which was pretty horrible. It was a 7-8hr trip.
